It's got everyone talking... 'Really'?

Microsoft Windows 7 phone ad is garnering much attention in most parts of the world, with bloggers voicing extreme opinions. Tell us what you think about it?

I personally enjoyed seeing the video but hang on, what’s the differentiation in as far as its messaging is concerned? I fail to understand.

And as my colleague says, the background music looks like its right out of Wisteria Lane in Desperate Housewives!

There are moments in the video that do make you smile but I guess that’s all.

What do you think? Let us know.

first of all.. their OS has come a long way ... Windows 7 is definitely comparatively better OS to the likes of a VISTA.

I guess the challenge that MSFT has is more of a perception change.

Recently in the Ad Tech Asia Pacific Conference of 2010, the CMO presented on the success of the campaign around Windows 7 - and I'm sorry to say, when he said "we give people choice" i lost count on the number of heads that shook side ways. OS users do not have a choice. Its decided by IT Heads or Managers.

It would be interesting to see what people will really choose if they were given the freedom to do so.

I am working with MS on the launch, but overall that is not really an influence here. These ads allude to the key differentiation of the software, the experience of using it is quite different to other phones. Being arranged in ‘hubs’ not ‘apps’ they believe, and I think it is true, that people can do what they need to do faster and easier.
The ads are a good way to draw attention to the phone, but you really have to experience it. If you can’t get to a store you can look at the demo online.
